Lisa “B4by-G” Mok

Just received an e-mail from Vice Dean (wakil dekan?!) of my almamater (a.k.a. Parahyangan University), she wants me to write an essay (story!?) about my AIESEC traineeship experience at Toyota Motor Corp,Tokyo and also about my working experience at Ernst & Young, Singapore, so that she can print it out and put it on the student notice board  (alias mading mahasiswa…duh bahasa inggrisnya apa yah!??! -_-")

I don’t know where to start..as for me, it’s a bittersweet experience all together.. (naon deui?!). Having to resign from PwC to go to Tokyo is one of the most difficult decision I had to make. (it really is!) But i glad i made a decision to go, because during my staying there, i met some ppl that really touch my life and made a difference. And one thing I’ll never forget, that is after i gave a country presentation at the youth community center (anyway, nama tepatnya g lupa), I met a long lost good friend and he said this to me "Mok, I am really proud of you!" . *gubraks* it really means a lot for me, coz the one who say that is a person i really look up to. It’s as if God said "well done, good and faithful servant" =)

After I finished my traineeship, that was 4 years ago (!?) i was staying in singapore for 1 month. And, I accidentally met that long lost friend (again!?) (apparently he was in transit to Jkt, and staying in singapore for couple of days). We talked about past, present and future and I remembered i said I am going to work in singapore one day at one of the big 4 (actually for me there is only big 2- not 4 =P). So, I am living one of my dreams now.. (is it called self-fulfilled prophecy !?).

Anyway, kalo ada yang nanya g..betah nga kerja di Sg!? I will say…betah. but if anyone tells me that di amrik lagi ada lowongan, loe mau nga?! I will not think twice to say…’mau… apa alamat websitenya?!?! heueheuehue…’ anyway, it’s another dream that is yet to come true…

Ok, back to the essay part…what should i write!?!?!?

I think …I finally know the feeling. The show is over, say good-bye.

I went to a charity run called "Run for Hope" last Sunday. Woke up on 6.15 in the morning (I don’t even wake up this early on weekdays =P). Took shuttle bus to Sentosa Island and it was raining when I reached there (what a good weather for sleep and I am here to do the charity run?!) anyway, it was all for a good cause..that is to support the search for cancer cure. Ok, so maybe I didn’t run the whole thing..most of the time i just walked especially when the road is hilly. =P anyway, i completed the 5km run under the rain. (^_^)v

I just realized that the beach is very beautiful in the morning and the air is so fresh, especially after the rain.

Reached my apartment and back to sleeping mode until 4 afternoon!! =P (woke up because my landlady knock on my door, she thought that I was sick because I hasn’t came out from the room since morning).

Rushing to take a shower, coz I have to meet up with my friends on 5 @ Orchard (my friend came from Jkt to Melbourne and transit in Sg for 5 hours, so we met up at Orchard to kill the time).

When I reached home, it was around 10.30.. did some reading and went zzz… (looked at my laptop and think that the payroll narative and the testing script can wait ’till Monday..)

2 Months and 2 weeks until I go back to AABS… *faint*

Been back from the trip to HK and got so many questions about "how’s HK?" and i repeat the same answer for so many times until i don’t feel like anwering the question anymore. should i just write it on the blog and say please refer to my blog? (talking about cross referencing =P). So, for those who wonder.. "it was fun" =)

The first day i back to SG…i found out that my housemate’s room is empty. I just back to my home town for 4 days and when i got back my housemate has moved ?! my landlady and my housemate had a huge fight and another news.. her son will move in and live here!! Actually I prefer to have all girl staying here, coz then i am free to wear (or not to wear) what i want (i.e. tank tops, short pants, etc). My landlady son is working at EY also, he is an IT auditor (a.k.a. TSRS), don’t get me wrong, he is actually is a nice person…but this is my freedom we are talking about! ><

my 1st day at office after the 3-week holiday. I got a post-holiday syndrome. and when i checked the schedule..I got a secondmend to BRS (Business Risk Sevices) for 3.5 months! I am doing SOX404 now.. a lot of narative, a lot of walkthrough and Test of control..and there is no numbers involved. I prefer doing audit of financial statement rather than internal audit.

Counting the days till i  go back to AABS …it’s 2 months and 3 weeks to go… *sigh*

on a bright side note,  a national library just opend near my neighbourhood..it is 10 mins walk from my apartment . The library got a lot of books, magazines, vcds, dvds, and internet. Nice sofa, air-con, tables and chairs, windows and sun light, and it opens till 9.00 p.m! OMG..i love library..it’s heaven!! ^^
